Delivery Options and Turnaround Times
The turnaround time for a translation depends on the length, complexity, legibility and required delivery format of the document. Once we receive your file, we prepare a quotation with an estimated delivery time, defined scope and recommended delivery method.
Delivery may be provided in PDF format and, when required, also as a physical document by courier. The final format is confirmed according to the type of procedure, destination country and receiving authority.
How Long Does a Certified Translation Take?
Certified translation turnaround time depends on several factors: the number of pages, the language combination, the condition of the source file, the presence of seals or handwritten notes, terminology complexity and whether the final document must be delivered digitally, physically or both.
For this reason, delivery time is confirmed after reviewing the document and the requirements of the receiving authority. If the translation is needed for a consulate, notary public, court, university, immigration office or company, the final format may affect the delivery schedule.
Digital Delivery in PDF Format
Digital delivery is provided as a final PDF file. It is suitable for review, forwarding to third parties, digital filing and procedures that allow electronic submission. The exact certification or declaration format is defined according to the destination country and receiving authority.
- Delivery by email or secure download.
- Clean, clear and consistent formatting.
- Certification notes included when applicable.
Physical Delivery by Courier
If printed copies are required, physical delivery by courier may be arranged according to the destination and operational availability. Shipping costs are confirmed as part of the corresponding quotation.
- Document packaging and handling.
- Delivery to home, office or designated address.
- Courier tracking, depending on the service provider.
Estimated Turnaround Time
The estimated turnaround time depends on volume, legibility, terminology, language pair and formatting requirements. When quoting, we indicate the estimated delivery date and, when available, urgent options.
- Standard delivery: based on volume and schedule.
- Urgent delivery: subject to availability.
- Large documents: phased delivery may be available.
Prior Review and Scope Confirmation
Before starting, we confirm the project scope: language combination, certification format, receiving authority and special requirements such as apostille, legalization, annexes, reverse sides or supplementary pages.
- Scope confirmation.
- Review of attachments and requirements.
- Clear communication at each stage.
Important Note
To avoid delays, please send your document in a single file, ideally in PDF format, and make sure all pages, seals, signatures, reverse sides and attachments are included. If the document has an apostille or legalization, please attach it from the beginning.
How Delivery Time Is Confirmed
The delivery time for a certified, sworn, legal, corporate or technical translation is not determined only by the number of pages. File quality, seals, signatures, terminology complexity, language combination and the final format required by the receiving authority all influence the turnaround time.
Clients who need a certified translation may also want to review how we work, what to prepare before requesting a certified translation and our frequently asked questions.
